Illinois Passes Marriage Equality Bill: Hooray for Love!

As we celebrate Illinois becoming the 15th state to legalize same sex marriage, let's keep in mind that that we're really celebrating one things here. LOVE. It's hard for me to understand how anyone could oppose the celebration of love. Because, seriously, if there's one thing this world needs more of, it's love. Sophia Petrillo hit the nail on the head when she offered Blanche Deveraux advice about her brother marrying another man.

Blanche: I can accept that he is gay, but why does he have to slip a ring on this guy's finger so the whole world will know?
Sophia: Why did you marry George?
Blanche: We loved each other. We wanted to make a lifetime commitment, wanted everybody to know.
Sophia: That's what Doug and Clayton want, too.

There it is, folks. It's that easy. It's all about love. And Jackie DeShannon sang it best when she said, "What the world needs now is love sweet love." Sing it, sister!

Congratulations Illinois! Next stop, national gay marriage!

Hubba Hubba: Felix Bujo

It's been awhile since we've inducted another handsome chap into our Hubba Hubba Hall of Fame. Well, that gets remedied today. Meet our latest Hubba Hubba hottie, Felix Bujo.

I first saw the handsome Felix Bujo modeling Mr. Turk clothing. My first thought: those eyes! And then, that smile! And that was all before I even saw him in swimwear/underwear. Hubba hubba, indeed!

The 25-year-old from Quebec has been modeling for eight years. According to the bio on his portfolio site, Felix learned a wide range of arts education at the Rudolph Steiner School. In addition to his frequent appearances on Mr. Turk, Felix has worked with David Lynch and has appeared in campaigns for Diesel, Levi's and many others.

Thanks for the eye candy, Felix! Welcome to the Hubba Hubba Hall of Fame!

It Gets Better: A Very Gay Match Game '73

First of all, Match Game was one of the gayest things on television. I mean, Charles Nelson Reilly?! The only thing gayer than Charles Nelson Reilly on Match Game is Paul Lynde on Hollywood Squares.

I know I should be offended by this clip from an episode of Match Game '73. I mean, they use not one but TWO offensive words for homosexuals. But c'mon! Queer really is the best answer for the question, "The police commissioner said, 'I think Batman and Robin are ______.'"

I also appreciate the fact that Richard Dawson tries to take the joke to a less offensive place. "Wouldn't you know it? The moment I got my Robin outfit, a rumor like that would start?"

Well, the joke's on all of them. Batman and Robin are totally gay and they're happily married and living in LA. That's what 40 years of progress will do for ya!

TV Special: Ann-Margret and the Dancing Leather Daddies

I can only imagine that the choreographer and stylist who came up with this number from one of Ann-Margret's television specials were intending the high camp quotient. I mean, six men in black leather motorcycle gear are dancing around and looking "tough." There are smokey soundstage sets decorated with burned out cars and the dancers have handlebar props. And I'm not talking about the mustaches! It's always so laughable when dancers try to look tough. Because, you know, when I think of bikers I think of limber men in tight pants dancing around. Especially when those bikers rip off their jackets and reveal deep cut, sparkly tank tops that look like they were taken out of Ann-Margret's closet. Oh, yeah, so tough, guys. And not gay at all.

Of course, Miss Olsson is fierce. Lady can dance! She gives the leather daddies a work out for this number. I can only imagine the shenanigans that went down when the bikers hit the showers afterward!
